Cops seek Winfield bank robber

Winfield police are hunting for a man who robbed the Winfield Community Bank at 27W111 Geneva Road just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The village issued the alert on its Web site. The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 35 and 45 wearing a black wig and a fake goatee.

The alert also states the suspect stuffed something in his shirt to make his stomach look larger.

The robber was last seen wearing an orange or yellow long-sleeve shirt, black pants, black shoes and a Chicago Bears cap.

He displayed a handgun, according to the Web site.
