Aurora girl missing, police say may be in danger

Aurora police are looking for two teenage girls who have been missing since Friday and may be in danger.

Police believe Ziomara Gutierrez, 16, of the 800 block of Spring Street, is with 15-year-old Natasha Gonzales, who now lives in Rockford but is formerly from Aurora.

Police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said the pair were reported missing on June 22 after failing to come home Friday from an overnight trip to Chicago with girlfriends. Their traveling companions are safe and have been accounted for.

Ferrelli said family members of the girls have said that unknown males have answered both their cell phones several times over the past week and have implied that the girls may be being held against their will. The men have also called the cell phones of family members and the girls' friends and repeated the threatening language.

Ferrelli said both girls have "a record of running away."

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora Police at (630) 801-6655.
