Register now for vacation Bible schools and camps

• Children from preschool to fifth grade are invited to attend the "Kingdom of the Son" Kids Camp from 6 to 8 p.m. the week of June 21-26 at Faith Baptist Church at Mill Creek in Geneva. It will be transformed into an outdoor adventure camp where kids will learn how their lives can be changed by God's love for them. There will be music, games, crafts, snacks and storytellers. Cost per child is $10 or $30 per family. For details, call (630) 845-2532.

• Calvary Episcopal Church in Batavia invites everyone to "Crocodile Dock," this year's vacation Bible school. The program will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 3 through Friday, Aug. 7. Music, Bible stories, crafts and many other activities are all part of the fun. Children from age 3 through those entering fifth grade in the fall are welcome to participate. Church membership is not required. Admission to VBS is free, but each family is asked to volunteer at least one day during the week. Child care will be provided for younger children of volunteers.

Advance registration is required by Monday, July 27. You may register in person at Calvary on Sunday morning or during regular office hours, or can obtain a form by calling the church office at (630) 879-3378 or downloading it from calvary-episcopal.org.

• Bethany Luthern Church, 8 S. Lincoln St., Batavia, will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon the week of Aug. 10-13. SportsLife Camps will run the camp called "Excited About Jesus!" The camp is open to ages 3 to fifth-graders. Call the church office at (630) 879-3444 or enroll online at bethanybatavia.org. Deadline to sign up is July 20.

• The Salvation Army Joe K. Anderson Community Center, 1710 S. Seventh Ave., St. Charles, will be offering residential summer camp for ages 6 to 17. Camp Wonderland, owned and operated by The Salvation Army in Camp Lake, Wis., features cabins, a lake, Olympic-size swimming pool, basketball courts, climbing wall, hiking, boating, Bible lessons, trained staff and more.
