Judge: Suspect in Mt. Prospect murder unfit
A court has found a Mount Prospect man mentally unfit to stand trial on charges he murdered his mother.
Forty-three-year-old Paul Castronovo was charged with first degree murder and concealment of a homicide in the December death of his 76-year-old mother Mary Castronovo, at her home in the 0-100 block of Debbie Drive in Mount Prospect.
Paul Castronovo also lives at that address. A judge set his bond at $5 million. He remains at Cook County Jail, where he will under undergo treatment in an effort to make him fit for trial. He next will appear in court June 29.
