Campton Hills police fundraising for Special Olympics

Campton Hills police are asking for the public's help in supporting Special Olympics in Illinois.

Now through the end of summer, the department is selling T-shirts, baseball caps and pins to raise money for the international organization, which involves nearly 3 million adults and children with disabilities in sporting events each year. The effort is part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

Chief Greg Anderson said the rural department also is selling tickets for a Harley-Davidson raffle headed up by the Kane County Chiefs of Police Association.

"We've had several people come in already for the Harley raffle," he said.

Prices are $15 for T-shirts, $10 for caps, $5 for pins and $10 for a raffle ticket. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made by calling (630) 584-0330 or visiting the department, 40W115 Campton Crossings Drive, Unit B.
