• Jessica Rose Deming (Vlna), daughter of Joseph Vlna of Lake Zurich and Kathryn Halka of Buckeye, Ariz., received her master of business administration degree on May 16, 2009. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2006.

Mark Deming, son of Thomas and MaryAnn Deming of Arlington Heights, received his juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois on May 16, 2009. He received his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2006.

Jessica and Mark were married on March 21, 2009, at St. Raymond de Penafort Church in Mount Prospect. Later this summer, the newlyweds will relocate to Tyler, Texas, where Mark will clerk for Judge Love of the Eastern District of Texas.

• Brian Kilkelly, a 2001 graduate of Libertyville High School, now living in Crested Butte, Colo., has earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison, Colo.

• Krystina (Nina) Pece of Lake Zurich, a sophomore at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, is a recipient of the 2009-10 Stadium Alumni Distinguished Service Scholarship Award. She was a 2007 Graduate of Lake Zurich High School.

• Peter F. Lynch, son of William and Patricia Lynch of Libertyville, graduated from University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, with a bachelor of business administration in finance. Peter was also a 2005 graduate of Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein.

• Krista Sheehy of Hawthorn Woods was named to the 2009 spring semester dean's list at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

• Jessica Paige Allen of Lake Zurich, a junior at DePaul University in Chicago, has been accepted into Tau Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi Honors Societies and has made the dean's list for three consecutive quarters. Allen is majoring in psychology at DePaul.

• Ross K. Renjilian, son of Donna and Richard Renjilian of Gurnee, a third-year student at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Calif., studying in The School of Architecture, was accepted into two National Honor Societies: Sigma Alpha Lambda National Honor Society and Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society.

• Kevin C. Brylski of Lake Villa received a bachelor of science degree from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.

• Cullen Lee of Libertyville received a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Providence College in Providence, R.I.

• Pamela Walker of Libertyville, a program coordinator in the general education department at Northwestern College, recently received a doctoral degree in adult education from the National-Louis University in Chicago. Her dissertation was titled "By Any Means Necessary: An Africentric Case Study Analyzing Culturally Grounded Coping Mechanisms Utilized by African-American Undergraduate Male Graduates in Their Pursuit of an Undergraduate Degree."

• Jeff Kim of Riverwoods received bachelor of arts degrees in business economics and Spanish from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

• Matthew Anthony Norcia of Libertyville received a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

• Michelle Luce of Gurnee was named to the dean's list for the spring semester 2009 at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla.

• William Battistone of Lake Villa and Samara Silverman of Vernon Hills recently graduated from the Adams Academy, an intensive leadership development opportunity for small groups of students offered at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
