Another new judge in Peterson case

The revolving door that's led to three judges in Drew Peterson's murder case appears to have stopped with all sides accepting the latest judge appointed.

Stephen White became the third judge assigned to the case when Chief Judge Gerald Kinney granted a defense request Monday to replace Carla Alessio-Policandriotes. She'd replaced the initial judge.

Peterson attorney Joel Brodsky says White is a judge "everybody's content with."

Prosecutor spokesman Charles Pelkie echoes that, saying there's no plan to challenge White's appointment.

Peterson is charged with first-degree murder in the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. The former suburban Chicago police officer is also a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson.
