Cary Park District Community Pool opens June 6

The Cary Park District Community Pool, 255 Briargate Road, will open for the 2009 summer season on Saturday, June 6.

The hours of operation from June 6 to Aug. 9 are Monday through Friday, open swim, noon to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.; and adult lap swim, 11:15 a.m. to noon and 5:15 to 6 p.m.

On Saturdays, open swim is offered from noon to 8 p.m. and adult lap swim is offered from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to noon. On Sundays, open swim is offered from noon to 6:30 p.m.; adult lap swim is offered from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; and family swim is offered from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Only family groups will be admitted and flotation devices will be allowed during family swim.

Regular summer season pool passes can be purchased at the Community Center. Regular pool pass resident/nonresident rates are: $42/$63 for youth, 17 years and younger; $50/$75 for adults, 18 years and older; $66/$99 for a family of two; $23/$35 for each additional family member; $42/$63 for seniors, 55 years and older; and $60/$90 for a senior family of two.

Anyone entering the pool site during open swim that does not have a season pool pass must pay the daily fee. In order to pay a resident daily fee, patrons may have to show proof of residency in the form of a utility bill, driver's license, tax bill, resident ID card or other identification. Daily resident/nonresident fees for the 2009 season are: youth, $3/$8; adults, $5/$8; guests with pass holder, $5. Youth, age 2 or younger, get in free.
