Annual golf event supports Breaking Free programs
Breaking Free recently announced this year's event again recognizes the humanitarian efforts of the late Jack Morcos, notable Aurora-area businessman, family man, philanthropist and avid golfer. The Golf Classic is scheduled for a shotgun start on Thursday, June 11, at the Fox Valley Golf Club in North Aurora.
"This is the third year we've honored Jack Morcos with the enthusiastic support of his family and friends. Jack was an energetic, caring individual whose efforts contributed greatly to the success of our previous outings," stated Michael Moran, executive director of Breaking Free. "In addition to his passion for his family, he had a well known passion for golf. We couldn't thank him enough for his time and dedication and are delighted to have the opportunity to honor his memory again this year."
Golf Classic Committee members include Jack Morcos' family and friends: Peter Bokos, Trudy Huberty, Nicole Jeannides, Myrna Smar, Stephen Morcos, Vicki Morcos, Bob Vaughan and Denny Wiggins.
Proceeds from the Golf Classic will directly support Breaking Free programs. The human services agency's mission is: To provide the highest quality education, prevention and counseling services focused on drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, family relationships, mental health and wellness.
