High School Auto Show:

As part of its annual auto show, St. Charles East's Auto Club will sell a 1972 Porsche refurbished by the auto classes. Spectators will be able to enjoy the fun for free and can take part in the people's choice judging for each car class. There will be food, games, and prizes provided by area businesses. To register your vehicle it's $10 for the public and $3 for students. The show will be run from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday on Fighting Saints Lane off Dunham Road.

Charity motorcycle ride:

The Elburn Lions Club will host its 10th Anniversary Motorcycle Ride June 7. The 80-mile charity ride will begin and finish at Lions Park, 500 S. Fillmore St. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Vendors, food and beverages will be available throughout the day until 4 p.m. There's a 50/50 raffle, a Poker Walk in the Park and an Ironhorse Rodeo. Memories of warriors:

Dennis Enneking, a Vietnam War veteran and member of Fox Valley-Geneva American Legion Post 75, will be dedicating his Memorial Day speech to local servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice. He wants to hear how the death of a relative or friend affected your life. Send your story by Sunday to d.enneking@sbcglobal.net. Advocacy sponsors sought:

The Kane County Child Advocacy Center seeks sponsors for Sunday's walk to raise money for groups that investigate cases of sexual and physical abuse against children. The 10-mile Champions for Children Walk is planned in Chicago. Gov. Pat Quinn is the scheduled grand marshal. To sponsor a local walker or make a donation pledge, call (630) 208-5160.

Dist. 304 records disposal:

The temporary files for all students in the Geneva High School Class of 2003 will be destroyed during the week of May 18. Temporary records are maintained for five years following graduation, transfer, or permanent withdrawal from a school district, at which point they can be destroyed. Students who wish to pick up their file must do so in person and present photo identification. Records can be picked up at the counseling and advising office.
