Police beat
Geneva
• A telescoping aluminum flagpole and two 3-by-5-foot flags were stolen between 9 a.m. April 29 and 10 a.m. Thursday from in front of a business at 113 E. State St., according to police.
• Someone broke off the cap to a gas tank and poured a brown liquid on a car and possibly in to the tank, between 9 p.m. May 4 and 6:30 a.m. May 5 in the 100 block of Aberdeen Court, police said.
• A Joovy Sit-and-Stand stroller was stolen from the breezeway outside of Cradles and All store, 407 S. Third St., between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 3. It is the second time since March the store's strollers have been stolen from an outside display.
• Two people stole 10 bottles of fragrances worth $679 about 12:30 p.m. May 5 at Ulta, 1560 S. Randall Road, police said.
Kane County
• A mailbox valued at $100 was reported damaged May 3 on the 38W700 block of Northern Court, Campton Township.
• About $110 was reported stolen Friday from a residence on the 35W700 block of Rose Street, St. Charles Township, according to police.
North Aurora
• Candice Jones, 17, of the 900 block of West Bartlett Road, Bartlett, was charged with aggravated battery of a teacher at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fox Technical and Trade School, 195 Poplar Place, according to a police report.
• Samantha A. Stensrud, 21, of the 800 block of Warner Street, Hampshire, was charged with possession of cannabis, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended, revoked or canceled license, at 9:23 p.m. May 4 at Randall and Mooseheart roads, according to police.
