Bianchi has the right stuff

Having lived in McHenry County for 30 years has given me ample time to observe its strengths and its weaknesses.

One of its weaknesses had been the state's attorney's office.

Its strength lies in the good judgment of its citizens to recognize that we needed someone made of the right stuff, to rectify it. When the right person finally came along the citizens elected Lou Bianchi.

Five months into his second term $144,000 has been collected with his fraudulent check program. A real boon to the businesses. Almost $2 million saved by using in-house counsel instead of outsourcing. Many successful DUI convictions with stiff sentences. Most recent cases with 12- and 20-year sentences for DUI convictions.

These are just a few of the examples of his successful service.

This doesn't just happen. It requires a strong, experienced state's attorney and a lineup of good qualified assistants.
