New principal at Warren High:

Rob Parrott was announced Thursday as new principal at Warren Township High School's Almond Road upperclassmen campus. Parrott, 37, will move up from his post as the Almond building's assistant principal. The job became available after Principal Doug Domeracki took a job as a high school superintendent in Wisconsin. Parrott is completing his 15th year at Warren Township High School District 121 in Gurnee.

Board members to be feted:

The public is invited to a reception honoring longtime Libertyville-Vernon Hills Area High School District 128 board members Anne Landgraf and Jan Foreman, who are retiring Monday night. The event is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. May 4, at Vernon Hills High School, 145 N. Lakeview Parkway. Light refreshments will be served. A school board meeting, the first for new members Stephen Arthur and Karin Lundstedt, will follow the reception.
