Huntley police searching for shooter
Huntley police are still investigating a Thursday evening shooting behind a liquor store.
No one was injured in the shooting and police do not believe it was a random act.
According to police, who announced the shooting Sunday, the victims, four men and one woman were sitting in a parked SUV at about 6:35 p.m. Thursday behind the store at 9714 Rt. 47 in Huntley.
While parked in the rear lot, the victims, who were all between 17 and 20, were approached by two suspects. Police said one was a black man with long braided hair in his 20s and the other a 20-year-old Hispanic man. Both suspects wore bandannas over their faces.
Police said the men approached the SUV on a blue motorcycle and one fired one shot, from his semiautomatic handgun into the front windshield of the vehicle.
The victims then fled the area. The suspects fled the area on a the motorcycle.
