Batavia Foundation swings into action
Each year, the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence awards $20,000 in grants to programs that will benefit the students of the Batavia school district and enhance the quality of education.
On June 19, the Batavia Foundation will hold its 10th annual golf outing at Bliss Creek Golf Course in Sugar Grove. The event will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start, and will conclude with a steak dinner, awards and silent auction.
They are hoping the event will sell out with approximately 100 golfers. So grab a couple of friends for a foursome, or sign up as a single. There is an early-bird special for registration before Thursday, April 30. Visit BataviaFoundation.org and print out a registration form today. Or email info@bataviafoundation.org for more information.
The event offers prizes (low and high), betting holes, hole-in-one bet, and bogey cards just to keep the day lively.
In addition to seeking golfers, there are sponsorship opportunities, and a silent auction. In this economy, every opportunity to get customers in your door is golden. Instead of donating a "one-time" gift certificate, consider a program that will have customers coming back each month, such as wine of the month, appetizer of the month, upgrade of the month, etc. Not only will your donation help fund a future grant, but it will help bring in customers on a regular basis.
