Walmart in Vernon Hills gets new look

The Vernon Hills Walmart, 555 Townline Road, is undergoing an extensive renovation.

The new store design is based on feedback from customers and will feature wider aisles, light-gray interior paint scheme and easy-to-read signage.

The store will remain open during the renovation, expected to be complete in June.

The store is hiring about 40 temporary employees to help with the project.
