Lawmakers don't have record we can trust

Why do we taxpayers in the great State of Illinois believe that our State legislators, who couldn't balance the budget during boom years and didn't put something away for a rainy day, will now fix our temporary shortfall and fix everything simply by raising our taxes and continue their reckless spending as always.
