Indian Lakes Resort opens premiere golf range May 2

Area golfers are invited to attend a grand opening on May 2 for the newest premiere practice facility and driving range in the Midwest.

Hilton Indian Lakes Resort will celebrate Blackhawk Trace's grand opening with contests, giveaways and a special golf trick show from Peter Longo. A hole-in-one contest will also award one lucky winner with $25,000.

Here's what Blackhawk Trace's practice facility and driving range will feature:

• 44 stations with double-sided tees;

• Two putting greens in excess of 16,000 square feet;

• Practice bunker for greenside and fairway shots; and

• Multiple target greens with real bent grass.

The grand opening takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 2. Registration for the hole-in-one contest and the closest to the pin contest is from 9:30-10 a.m. t the resort property, 250 W. Schick Road in Bloomingdale.

Peter Longo's golf trick show is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., participants can view new lines and equipment by Callaway and Ping.
