Drug seminar in Geneva:
"What's the Buzz?," a forum about energy drink use and abuse, the latest drugs being abused, and parents who host parties where youth are served alcohol, will be held from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the auditorium at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave. It is sponsored by The Geneva Coalition for Youth and presented by Geneva Police Detective Shelley Frangella, Delnor Hospital and the North Central Narcotics Task Force. Meet a doughboy:
Steven Quick will portray a World War I doughboy at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St. It will offer a glimpse at the daily life of a U.S. soldier during World War I. Cost is $10 for nonmembers, $5 for members and children.
Nursery open house:
Spring Bluff Nursery in Sugar Grove will celebrate its 30th anniversary April 25 with free programs on maintenance, plants, gardening, pruning and decor. Astronaut at arboretum:
Former NASA astronaut Mark Lee, a veteran of four space flights, will discuss "Observations From Space" at 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday at Morton Arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle. He'll show a behind-the-scenes video of what it's like to train for a shuttle flight and fly a mission and then be available for pictures. Tickets are $12, which also includes admission to the arboretum.
'Garden Party' sale:

Grief retreat:
Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice, a nonprofit organization offering support for those with life-threatening illnesses and the bereaved, is offering the free "Grief Takes a Hike" retreat June 5 to 7 at Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, Wis.
