For Hawks, search is on for vintage images to share

While there is no doubt the future is now for the Blackhawks, it's refreshing to see the organization isn't forgetting about its past.

Walk into the United Center early enough on most game nights and often you'll be treated to extended video clips honoring former Hawks greats such as Bobby Hull, Tony Esposito and Glenn Hall, to name a few.

There are interviews, old highlights - a different history lesson every night courtesy of director of scoreboard operations Sergio Lozano and his staff.

"We're trying to bring our history back," said Tom O'Grady, executive producer of entertainment for the Hawks. "I can't see enough of it.

"When we open the gates we're trying to do videos, show a lot of history of the team, and we're going to do a lot more of that."

But to do it, Lozano and Co. say they need your help.

"These guys are always looking for something unique," O'Grady said. "If someone has something on 8 mm film showing the Blackhawks, we want to meet them."

Fans can contact them through the team's Web site at chicagoblackhawks.com.
