Teschky wins Maine Twp. supervisor
Voters gave Maine Township Supervisor Carol Teschky another four-year term in office Tuesday.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, unofficial vote tallies showed that Republican Teschky had received 10,635 votes and Democratic challenger Peter Ryan of Park Ridge had received 8,891 votes.
Teschky of Glenview was a township trustee from 1989 to 2007 and was then tapped to fill the remaining two years of former Supervisor Robert Dudycz's term. Ryan has been on the board since 2005 and was leading a slate of Democrats that had hoped to make some inroads in this election.
