Students to display artwork at Aurora University

Local residents are among Aurora University art students who will exhibit paintings, drawings and photography in the ninth annual student art show through May 11.

The display is free to the public in the Schingoethe Gallery in Dunham Hall, 1400 Marseillaise Place in Aurora. The exhibit is part of AU's 2008-2009 Celebrating Arts and Ideas series. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Exhibiting artists are students of Michael Sawdey and Steven Lowery, AU photography and art instructors, respectively.
