Sobczak, Heneberry back in Dist. 117

Incumbents Wayne Sobczak and Joyce Heneberry and newcomers Ron Vickers and Sherri Skoog have been elected to seats on the Antioch-Lake Villa Area High School District 117 board.

With all 39 precincts reporting, unofficial totals showed Vickers led with 3,608 votes, followed by Heneberry with 3,593, Sobczak with 3,562, and Skoog with 3,008 votes. Newcomers Dan Mikal and Randy Mathias collected 2,756 and 2,418 votes respectively.

Lacking any hot button issues in the race, all the candidates promised to work to improve student achievement and act fiscally responsible.
