• John Leotis Williams, 48, and James Patrick Overbeck, 17, both of the 100 block of North First Street in Geneva, were charged with retail theft March 15, according to a police report. The pair were caught running from a Meijer store with dozens of fishing lures. Williams told police they intended to trade the lures for drugs. Williams had a pending court case at the time of his arrest. He told police his plan was to trade the lures for cocaine so he could go to the sheriff's department and tell them where the crack houses were and gain leniency on his case.
