Moretti's opening 7th location in Lake in the Hills

By mid-May the new Moretti's restaurant will be serving up pizza, lasagna, beer and other specialties in its new location along Randall Road in Lake in the Hills.

The former Govnor's Pub will be home to the seventh location for Moretti's, with its sixth opening this month in Mount Prospect.

Presently, Moretti's has locations in Edison Park, the West Loop, Schaumburg, Fox Lake and Barlett.

Once the Govnor's spot opened up, Moretti's jumped at the chance to move into the Randall Road corridor, and into another new community.

"It's a great location. It's easy access to get to. It's a great area. It's just a great opportunity to introduce ourselves to a new area, and we jumped on it," said spokeswoman Megan Osterhout,

The new spot, which will offer dine-in, delivery, carryout and catering, will be Moretti's biggest location.

It will have seating and televisions with all of the games in the bar area, and seating throughout the restaurant.

There also will be plenty of rooms for private parties and gatherings too, Osterhout said.

While the restaurant will offer Italian specialties like mile-high lasagna and pizza, it also will offer American fare, such as burgers.

For the youngsters in your party, Moretti's will let the kids make their own pizzas right at the table.

The servers will bring the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings for your kids to create the perfect lunch or dinner.

Osterhout said the restaurant is excited for newcomers to try it out, and for people who have been fans of Moretti's for years, to have a spot closer by in Lake in the Hills.

New combo: A new store is coming to Algonquin Commons, and it's combining with another store.

Gap Kids is joining the Gap clothing store that already is open in Algonquin Commons.

You can still shop for yourself in the front of the store.

But when you're done, you can head to the rear of the store and find things for your kids.

New cards: Geneva Commons now has new gift cards available.

The cards can be used for one purchase or for several now, similar to a debit card.

The gifts cards became available on April 1. Once you purchase them, they are valid for three years.
