Steel Beam Theatre to present Mamet's 'Glengarry Glen Ross'

Steel Beam Theatre, 111 W. Main St. in downtown St. Charles, presents David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize winning "Glengarry Glen Ross," opening Friday, April 10 and continuing through May 3. It is directed by R. Aaron Thomann of Elburn.

This dark comedy about cutthroat competition among realtors features Richard Culliton of New York in the role of Shelley Levine. Culliton is a veteran script writer for soap operas in New York, and is joining Steel Beam for the second time, having appeared in "Love Letters" last year.

David Prentiss of St. Charles, Patrick Able of Geneva, Sean Hargadon of Elgin, Ed Pierce of Geneva, Trevor Luce of Chicago, and Jim Pierce of South Elgin portray Mamet's vivid characters in this adult dark comedy. The play contains strong language.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for seniors and students.
