Village Pride best for Lake Zurich
I would like to first express my appreciation to the residents of Lake Zurich for allowing me to represent them for the past eight years. It has been an honor and a privilege that I have not taken lightly. While I don't presently don't have the time needed to effectively represent Lake Zurich for another term, I most certainly fully support the direction that the majority of the board is heading. There are many issues facing us, not the least of which is proceeding with the "Uptown" plan with the direction of ESG. They are the only developer that we interviewed that agreed to front the dollars needed to continue development and get paid after the project began to payoff to the village. Please check out their previous developments from the link on the village Web site.
There has been much misinformation thrown around about village finances by the CARE party, which I don't particularly care for. Just this week, while many municipalities are unfortunately having there bond rating lowered; Standard & Poor's has RAISED Lake Zurich's rating from a very respectable A1 rating to an AA. These have been some very tough times but it is obvious to the top bond rater that Lake Zurich has been fiscally responsible and has managed our finances appropriately.
This election needs to be more about what's best for the majority of residents. It is my opinion that Village Pride is looking out for the majority. Mayor Tolomei, with the great help of village staff, has been able to lead through much turmoil in the economy. Craig Taylor has been the most dedicated trustee I have ever worked with and the rest of the slate will represent us well.
Again, I truly thank you for the opportunity you have given me the last eight years and hope I have represented you well. Whichever party you support, please get out and vote.
