Fire at Round Lake Beach Burger King
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of fire at Burger King on Rollins Road in Round Lake Beach.
Officials reported numerous witnesses called in seeing flames shooting from the roof of the structure at 250 W. Rollins Road. Firefighters said heavy smoke was seen when arriving on the scene at 7:12 a.m.
Officials from the Greater Round Lake Area Fire Protection District has not responded to calls requesting information.
Dispatchers said Rollins Road and Cedar Lake Road were closed while the fire was being tended too.
Grayslake and Fox Lake firefighters were also called in to help battle the blaze.
It's unclear at this point what sparked the fire.
