5 hurt in crash near Bolingbrook

A two-car accident on I-55 early Sunday near Bolingbrook sent five people to area hospitals, police officials said.

All the injuries in the accident that took place in the northbound lanes of I-55 near I-355 at about 6:30 a.m. were non life-threatening, police officials said.

The victims were taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital and Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center, officials said.

Details of the accident have not been released by police and should be available later this morning, officials said.
