Wheaton man arrested again while free on bond
A young Wheaton man is accused of having inappropriate contact with a girl he encountered in a park near his home just months after he was set free on bond after a child pornography arrest.
Joshua White, 20, of the 1200 block of Reading Court, is facing one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for the latest allegation.
Prosecutors said White met the girl Wednesday while he was jogging in the park. They said he fled afterward, but police quickly tracked him down while investigating the girl's complaint.
White remained in police custody Friday.
White is accused of disseminating child pornography Aug. 6, 2008, while on the Internet. A $100,000 warrant was issued for his arrest Dec. 10, 2008. White was set free shortly later after posting the required 10 percent as bail.
As conditions of his release, White was barred from having contact with anyone under 18 and from any computer or the Internet. He pleaded not guilty Feb. 23 and was due in court again April 10.
No further details, such as the girl's age or park location, were available Friday.
