Who's really helping innocent children?

In response to Derek Paschal's letter "Fetus is as important as a 4-year-old?" Mr. Paschal believes a 4-year-old is more important than a fetus. However, he doesn't say whether this would be true if he were the fetus. Moreover, he blames religious organizations (Catholic Church and Evangelicals) for forcing their religious beliefs. He doesn't say how they do this. It seems only democratic for one to be able to speak out ones opinion, present opposing views, and vote for what he/she believes. Moreover, the members of these same religious groups are, in all likelihood, the ones doing the most to help the innocent children currently living in poverty.
