Good Americans hope stimulus works

It amazes me how, when the Republicans were in power, the deficit was not a concern. They said it seemed high but not relative to the GNP. They say God Bless America and this is the best form of government, but then they say the government is bad for America. No matter what economists say, they believe reducing taxes is the only solution.

Unemployed people do not pay taxes or buy goods, surprised? Well for 20 of the last 28 years we have tried their solution and what do we have - $8 trillion of the $10.5 trillion dollar debt was under their watch (Reagan, Bush, Bush) $5.5 trillion since 2000.

But now they are worried about government spending. They say the new President should fail. They are the party of "no."

Like in Peter Pan, Tinker Bell is dying, but if we believe, she can live. America we must believe in ourselves once more. General Motors is in deep trouble. Well it's White Christmas. Its time we rally to the General and Ford, every car bought employs hundreds of Americans. Money spent on roads and bridges will employ thousands more. Employed people pay taxes, buy goods and invest in the future. If our banks rally and their stock goes up, the government can make back all if not more than the money put in to save them.

I hope this president's plan works, I believe we can have a brighter future for ourselves and our children. All we have to do is work hard and believe in America.
