Snow over Skala for District 158

There are many reasons why you should not vote for Mike Skala. When he was president of the District 158 school board, he was responsible for a very flawed and unnecessary referendum that took years to undo. His wife is a teacher in the district and he supports the outrageous demands of the union. He does not support any type of control over the teachers. He doesn't work for the kids; he works for the teachers.

There are many reasons why you should vote for Larry Snow. Larry has the uncanny ability to find undisclosed finances that are buried or misplaced in the financial books. He has done this time and again. This has been disconcerting to the school board and is the reason why they are so eager to defeat him. They were comfortable in their "chicken little" roles when they could cry that the sky would fall unless they were given the money they demanded.

Before Larry Snow was on the board, there were no educational goals set. We now have them and the SAT scores have significantly improved.

Two-thirds of our property taxes go toward the schools. We are paying way too much and getting way too little for our money. We need more Larry Snows and fewer Mike Skalas.
