Cyclists should use common sense

On the way to work recently I had the first sighting of an idiot, a sure sign that spring has arrived.

Driving down Route 45 I encountered this idiot riding his bike ahead of me. This idiot left me with three choices. 1) I could continue to follow him at 20 mph in a 50 mph speed zone, thus driving too slow, a ticketable offense, and subjecting myself to getting rear-ended. 2) Passing him while staying in my lane breaking the 3 foot law and possibly killing him. 3) Going over the double yellow line, breaking the law, and heading into oncoming traffic.

I'm not going to say what I did, because no matter what, I would open myself up to a driving citation. If you want to ride a bike, great. Find a route that doesn't increase your risk of getting hit by a car, or force drivers to break the law.
