St. Charles

• Daniel Frederick Schiller, 19, of the 3N200 block of Ponderosa Drive, was arrested March 5 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. The discovery of the drugs occurred while Schiller was performing community restitution service at the police department.

• Frederick William Dumag, 31, of the 700 block of Lippert Lane in Glendale Heights, and Natalia Konarkowksa, 24, of the 1500 block of Silver Strand Circle in Palatine, were arrested March 6 and charged with retail theft, according to police. Security staff at Meijer observed Konarkowksa place liquor in her cart. She proceeded to the home fashions department and hid the bottles behind bath towels. Dumag then whistled to Konarkowksa as he entered the aisle. She whistled back and left the aisle to return the liquor bottle packaging to the liquor department shelves. Dumag then retrieved the liquor from the bath towels, removed the security caps, placed the bottles in his waistband and left the store. At the police station officers tested a straw and pill they found in a cigarette package on Dumag's person. It came back positive for cocaine and heroin. Similar drug evidence was discovered in Konarkowksa's purse. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kane County

• A mailbox, post and retaining wall were reported damaged Friday on the 39W100 block of Arbor Creek Road, Campton Township. Damage was estimated at $600, according to police.

• A street sign valued at $100 was reported damaged Sunday at Crane Road and High Point Court, St. Charles Township, according to a police report.

• John A. Reitz, 59, of the 100 block of Fourth Avenue, St. Charles, was arrested at 5 p.m. Sunday and charged with driving while license revoked, fleeing or attempting to elude police and resisting arrest on the 7N200 block of Ridge Line Road, Campton Township, police said. Reitz fled on foot after he was pulled over but was quickly apprehended, according to a police report. He also was wanted on a Lake County warrant for driving under the influence.

• James R. Williams, 54, of the 200 block of North Drive, St. Charles Township, was cited at 1:15 p.m. March 16 for illegal squealing of tires near his residence, police said.

Batavia

• Starsun M. Williams, 51, of the 1800 block of Sapphire Lane, Aurora, was charged with retail theft at 11:57 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report. He's accused of taking two DVDs and several paint brushes from Menards, 300 N. Randall Road.

• Cira Samperi, 71, of the 1700 block of South Court, was charged with retail theft at 9:48 a.m. Friday at Amstadt's, 28 S. Van Buren St., according to a police report. She is accused of taking a pound of cheese and a pound of turkey. She was also cited for trespassing.

• A stepladder was taken from a house in the 400 block of Delia Street, it was reported at 5:01 p.m. March 23.

Geneva

• Isaac Ocasio, 31, of the 100 block of Moore Avenue, St. Charles, was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger of a vehicle, at 11:48 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of East State St., according to police. The driver of the vehicle, Crystal F. Velez, 24, of the same address, was given a speeding ticket. Police said there was an open can of beer near the front passenger seat where Ocasio was sitting.

• Graffiti was spray-painted on an exterior back door and wall of an office building in the 2000 block of West State Street between noon March 15 and 8:39 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

• A Werner expandable aluminum scaffold plank was stolen from the northwest corner of a yard in the 600 block of East State Street between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 12:15 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

• A 26-inch blue Columbian mountain bicycle was stolen from a post on the Logan Avenue side of Geneva High School between 6:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Thursday, police said.
