No one hurt in Addison apartment fire
Addison fire officials said no one was injured in an apartment fire at 679 N. Swift Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Officials said fire was showing from a third-floor bedroom window when units arrived on the scene.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes of arrival, but the damage to the building and its contents is estimated at $50,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but appears accidental.
Two families were temporarily left homeless by the blaze, officials said.
The Addison Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from Bloomingdale, Elmhurst and Lombard fire departments, while station coverage was provided by the Villa Park Fire Department.
