Perhaps Blagojevich was telling the truth

It is interesting that Mayor Richard M. Daley called Rod Blagojevich "cuckoo" when he said that the legislature was planning to raise taxes. Now tell me who is telling the truth now? When the former governor raised this issue he was lambasted and hooted down. Well, I think he was right when he called politics a "blood sport". Also, Gov. Pat Quinn is calling for an election to replace Burris and yet Quinn was not elected to be governor. It seems pretty hypocritical. He says he is Burris' friend, but with friends like that who needs enemies? It's too bad that politics and politicians are like a wolf pack. I would think that they should remind themselves that they are supposed to be public servants, not public bullies. It is very shameful that with so many people suffering with this financial crisis that they want to raise taxes. I thought that the "free rides" for seniors was a wonderful idea. Some of these rich politicians should give up some of their salaries to help the people of Illinois. I think they need to be an example - especially when they are pretty wealthy and they want the middle class to pay for their free ride. I say give the people of Illinois a little power so that they can legislate their own economic freedom without being pummeled into impoverishment with tax increases. It looks like Blagojevich was telling the truth, at least on the tax increase. I am going to read his book when it is published and see what he has to say also about his attempts to help seniors get affordable pharmaceuticals.
