Working to solve a common problem

We would like to thank Bloomingdale Township, the village of Bloomingdale and their police department for working together to find a solution to a problem most seniors, actually all people, experience: How to dispose of expired or unwanted prescription drugs. The Senior Advisory Council to the Bloomingdale Police Department expressed the desire to have a program to help with this problem, and these two governments worked together to find a solution. The pilot program will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at the Bloomingdale Township Senior Center at 6N050 Rosedale Road in Bloomingdale. The drop off times are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Any residents are encouraged to take advantage of this program. These two government bodies are to be commended for their proactive response to the senior community. Our hats are off expressly to Supervisor Ed Levato of Bloomingdale Township, Village President Bob Iden and Police Chief Tim Goergen and Officer Dawn Odoi. Who says governments can't work together?
