Hanover Pk. bust leads to drugs, battery of officer charges

Hanover Park police recovered more than 6.5 ounces of cocaine while conducting a narcotics-related search warrant Thursday night in the 1700 block of Ontarioville Road.

Police said Robert J. Trevino, 33, of that residence, and Ramon B. Carranza, 32, of the 200 block of Timber Trail in Streamwood, were charged with felony drug possession.

Carranza was also charged with felony resisting arrest and battery to a police officer.

Police did not say an officer was injured or elaborate on what specifically prompted the battery to an officer charge.

Members of the Hanover Park Crisis Resolution Team executed the search around 9:35 p.m., police said.

Friday, a DuPage County judge set bond at $75,000 for Carranza and $20,000 for Trevino.
