Cary man falls from roof, hospitalized

A Cary man was flown to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday after falling off a ladder on the 1400 block of Mink Trail, firefighters said.

The mishap took place about 2:45 p.m. as the man, who was not named and is believed to be about 44 years old, was removing Christmas lights from his home, officials said.

He fell an estimated 10 or 12 feet. The man was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, but was expected to survive, officials said.
