Hawks have big-game experience

There are 10 Blackhawks with playoff experience, but that doesn't mean many of the others haven't played in important games on championship stages.

Patrick Sharp and Ben Eager won a Calder Cup in the American Hockey League with the Philadelphia Phantoms in 2005. Sharp has appeared in 12 Stanley Cup playoff games with the Flyers and Eager two.

Jonathan Toews, Dave Bolland and Cam Barker won gold medals playing for Canada in the World Junior Championships. Toews also won gold with Canada at the 2007 World Championships. Bolland won junior hockey's Memorial Cup in 2005 with the London Knights. Adam Burish won an NCAA championship with the University of Wisconsin in 2006.

"I think they may be new to playoff hockey in the NHL," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "But I think everybody has enjoyed big seasons and successful years, and some of them have won championships - not at this level, but I think that experience will be handy as we go along."

The 10 Hawks with Stanley Cup playoff experience are: Sammy Pahlsson (64 games), Nikolai Khabibulin (57), Martin Havlat (51), Brian Campbell (47), Brent Sopel (42), Andrew Ladd (17), Cristobal Huet (13), Sharp (12), Matt Walker (4) and Eager (2).

"There are guys here that have won Stanley Cups, won national championships, world juniors, Memorial Cups, whatever it may be," Troy Brouwer said. "A lot of guys on the team know how to win and know what it takes. Even though we may not have NHL playoff experience here, we definitely have playoff experience and the experience of winning."

Time change: The starting time of the final game of the season, April 12 against Detroit at the United Center, has been changed from 4 p.m. to 1 p.m. to accommodate NBC.

The Hawks haven't played a nationally televised game in the U.S. since 2004 on ABC.

Blackhawks Cup: Tickets for Monday's boys and girls Blackhawks Cup state championship games will be available at the United Center door ($7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens).

The girls title game between Loyola and New Trier begins at 5 p.m. The boys championship is at 7 p.m., also between Loyola and New Trier.

Tip-in: Tim Brent was returned to Rockford Friday, with Martin Havlat returning to the lineup.
