Delta Dental to move from Lisle to Naperville
Delta Dental of Illinois announced plans to build an 85,000-square-foot office building at 123 Shuman Blvd. where it will operate. The move from Lisle will allow Delta Dental to expand operations and establish an identity with signage along I-88, according to the company.
In the past five years, the number of primary enrollees covered by Delta Dental has increased 74 percent, including a 15 percent increase last year. In relocating its corporate offices and operations from Lisle to Naperville, Delta Dental will have the needed space for growth. The company, with more than 170 employees, currently leases about 43,000 square feet at 801 Ogden Ave. in Lisle.
"We are thrilled that Delta Dental of Illinois is planting their roots in Naperville, said Naperville Mayor George Pradel. "They are a great addition to our business base and this new development certainly helps to build our economy when times are challenging," Pradel added.
The Midwest region of Ryan Companies US Inc. designed and will construct the building. Ryan will relocate its offices from next door, at 55 Shuman Blvd., and lease about 20,000 square feet of space in the new building.
Ryan has a national reputation for office development projects. In the past three years, across the country Ryan has designed, developed and constructed 11 office projects totaling 6.6 million square feet of space.
In December 2008 it broke ground on a 120,000-square-foot building, Rosemont Corporate Center in Rosemont, it is codeveloping with The Harp Group. The building is about 75 percent leased to Cisco Systems.
