Outlook: Wheaton Academy, seeking its second regional title ever and first since 1998, showed great offensive balance Tuesday against No. 4 seed Sycamore at the Burlington Central regional. Tim Rusthoven, Anthony Ritchie, Tim Streets and Quinn Gorski all scored in double figures in a 66-48 win against a zone. Of 26 baskets, 21 came off assists. Warriors coach Paul Ferguson hopes that with Hampshire playing zone throughout a 47-38 win over No. 2 seed Kaneland, similar openings will arise. None of the Whip-Purs' top five scorers goes taller than 6-foot-2 James Goebbert and 6-2 Mike Kozeczak, but 6-6 freshman Tyler Watzlawick can approach the 6-8 Rusthoven. Senior guard Justin Bieber, who scored 13 on Wednesday, leads athletic, balanced Hampshire with 11.1 points a game.
