Is GOP drinking Rush's Kool-Aid?
Will someone inform the Republicans in Congress that they lost the last two elections? Their recent obstreperous and obstructionist behavior has shown their true colors, and they aren't red, white and blue. It doesn't take a Ph.D in Economics to understand supply and demand. We have plenty of supply but no demand. People aren't buying because, either they have no money or they fear having no money if they spend the money they have. The government has to stimulate the economy with projects that will create jobs, so Americans either have money to spend or feel confident spending the money they have. I heard one Republican senator pontificating that if the federal government gives cities and states money, the cities and states will put aside their local money and spend the federal dollars. What makes this blowhard think cities and states have money to set aside? If Republican legislators are drinking Rush Limbaugh's Kool-Aid, and want President Obama's stimulus and economic recovery package to fail, it is time they realize who they are working for. If Obama fails, the American people will fail, and Republicans will lose again in 2010.
