Amnesty would affect all Americans
Amnesty sounds like a very nice word. A word that most people would agree to, except for some unforgivable act. The American people are a generous lot, generous to a fault in some instances. We as a nation must think of the future, when we make momentous decisions, that are irreversible when done.
The Obama administration is gearing up for another amnesty attempt.
The first amnesty was in 1986. It was to be our first and last, but it was not, we have had smaller amnesties over the years. The last amnesty attempt was in 2007 and it was defeated.
Polls show that 65 percent or more of Americans do not want amnesty for 12 to 20 million illegals. They must go home, and get in line. The rule of law must prevail. The Obama administration is going to try where President Bush failed. This administration will try to sugarcoat this attempt in ways to deceive the American people. Do not be fooled. By granting amnesty to 12 to 20 million people who can bring in their relatives, we increase our population by 60 million in a very short time.
It is imperative that we control our immigration policies. We cannot have another amnesty, now or ever. Amnesties bring more amnesties as the past has shown, and most politicians do not care about the ramifications. We certainly do not need more people competing for jobs in this dire economy. Fellow Americans, this country belongs to us and our children, not the politicians and special interest groups. Also, this country does not have unlimited water, of which 36 states have water shortages now.
If we dramatically increase our population through amnesties, we will suffer the consequences in many more ways, and they will be severe and irreversible.
