Kane County treasurer has unclaimed funds

Kane County Treasurer David J. Rickert reminds taxpayers that a list of unclaimed funds is available on the Web site at kanecountytreasurer.org. This list currently contains $135,320.94 in total value.

To collect unclaimed funds, a sworn statement must be signed in person and proof of identification must be presented.

The county treasurer holds unclaimed funds for seven years before transferring them to the state treasurer.
