Insurance firm moves 46 jobs

SCHAUMBURG - American Family Insurance is relocating 46 jobs from Schaumburg to Peoria as the company combines the two offices. Combining the two claim offices, which will take effect on July 24, will increase employment at the Peoria office from 57 to 103 positions, the company said. The transfer of Schaumburg responsibilities to Peoria was one of six claim office consolidations announced by the company. The Peoria office will adjust and process auto claims for all of Illinois. Employees in Schaumburg are eligible for relocation assistance to move to Peoria with their positions.
