Kane's haircut: the opposite of Samson?

Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane refused to take his cap off for the television cameras Monday. That's how short his hair is after he got it cut Friday in Dallas.

"(Nikolai) Khabibulin said I shaved seven years off," joked the 20-year-old Kane, who looked 15 even before the haircut. "(Patrick) Sharp's girlfriend said I looked older, so I'm hearing it both ways."

The stylist who cut Kane's hair gathered the blond curls in a bag and told the Hawks star that she was going to sell it on eBay.

"I don't know if she is going to or not, but that's what she said," Kane said.

Kane has been going through a tough time scoring goals and figured it would help to get a little lighter up top.

"It was in my mind for a while," Kane said. "I just figured I change it up. It feels good. I feel a little faster. It's nice to feel the breeze going by."
