It's business as usual at this EXPO
The sixth annual Wauconda Chamber of Commerce EXPO and Community Showcase puts the spotlight on more than 60 area business organizations, along with area clubs and organizations. Entertainment for all ages includes a craft show, face painting, juggling and a stilt walker. Sgt. John Combs of the Wauconda Police Department will present crime-fighting demonstrations with his department's police dog, Maxx. Guests can visit with psychic "Merrily," who will look into what the future might hold. Stop by the food booths for everything from pizza to bison meat.

Author analyzes Abe
The bicenntennial celebration of the birth of Abraham Lincoln continues as Michael Burlington, author of "Abraham Lincoln: A Life," discusses his books and his studies on the life of the former U.S. president. Burlington is also the author of the books "The Inner World of Abraham Lincoln" and "An Oral History of Abraham Lincoln."
