Young people give hope for the future

"OUSTED" was the headline on Jan. 30. That's certainly appropriate for the day after the governor was removed. What also pleased me, in a different way, was the headline in the Neighbor Section "Daily Herald Leadership Team."

Let's be glad about the governor's ousting; however, let's celebrate and be proud of the outstanding young people featured and the many others who perhaps didn't make this list but who are also "outstanding teens who believe their mission in life is to leave the world a better place."

Let's hope they don't change their minds as they move on to the next phase of their lives. If they hang on to their ideals, perhaps some day the world might be a better place.
